Step 1:

Open the packaging bag of the test paper to reveal the yellow strip paper. The paper is pH test paper. There are 1-14 color cards on the surface of the box. This color card is pH standard color card.

Step 2:
Remove the test paper and place it flat on the dry glass or plastic sheet (note: the glass or plastic sheet must be dry and clean);

Step 3:
Use glass rod or pipette to take the solution and drop it on one end of the test paper.

Step 4:
A second later, the solution position of the test paper changes with the color of the test paper. At this time, compared with the standard color card, read out the pH value. In the detection, the smaller the pH value, the stronger the acidity of the solution. When the pH value is 7, the solution is neutral, and the greater the pH value, the stronger the alkalinity of the solution.
The colorimetric card with this book allows you to easily grasp the size of the PH value. PH = 7 is neutral, PH < 7, the smaller the value, the greater the acidity; PH > 7, the greater the alkalinity.

Instructions:
1. Take the test strip and invade the measurable solution. Half a second later, take it out and compare it with the standard color plate, and get the PH value.

2. This test paper is not suitable for very weak buffer solution and acid-base solution with concentration less than 0.01%.

3. The test paper should be stored in a dark and dry place.

Use Notes: In the test process, first tear off a small piece of test page, dip a small amount of things to be tested with glass sticks, cotton swabs or other sharp objects, drop on the test page, see the color changes, and then compare the corresponding color classification on the colorimetric board, you can know the PH value.


Question 1: Why does the test paper not change color?
Answer: Because the test strip itself is yellow, the corresponding acidity and alkalinity is 6 (weak acidity). If the acidity and alkalinity of the tested liquid is 6, it is impossible for the test strip to discolor (or change very little), and the discoloration is not allowed. This constant pornography is common in cosmetics, because the skin is weak acidic, generally cosmetics are close to the skin weak acidic (you can go to test the home common orange juice, water, soap, etc.).



Question 2: How to measure everything is a color?

Answer: 1. First of all, if the pH value of the test paper is 6, it is impossible to discolor. 2. Also, for example, the pH value of the liquid measured by everyone is very close, such as bath water, tap water, mineral water and barrel water. Although the names of these liquids are different, their pH values are all the same, so the color shown is the same. Even if there is a difference of 0.1, the test paper can not be measured. Question 3: Why can't we measure oil?

Answer: Because acid and base measure the content of hydrogen ion in water solution, oil (and oily things) can not dissociate hydrogen ion, so there is no acid and base.
