Dosage and Administration
Adult and Children above 12 years:5ml - 10ml 3 or 4 times daily; Children: 6 -12 years: 5ml 3 or 4 times daily; Children: 1 - 5 years: 2.5ml to 5ml 3 or 4 times daily or as directed by physician.
Side Effects: Large doses may cause nausea, vomiting, thirst, headache, hyperventilation and progressive drowsiness, and lead to profound acidosis and hypokalaemiaTreatment of side effects: Acidosis and Electrolyte loss may be corrected by the intravenous administration of
sodium bicarbonate or sodium lactate. Hypokalaemia can be treated by administration of a suitable potassium
salt by mouth
