Bismuth Ingot / sheetPurity: 99.9% - 99.9999% Character: Hard and brittle, easy to crush, with cold expansion and shrinkage characteristics. Density: 9.8g/cm3, melting point: 271 C. Pure bismuth is a soft metal and brittle when impure. It is stable at room temperature. The main ores are bismuth (Bi2S5) and ochromatite (Bi2o5). Expansion occurs during solidification of liquid bismuth. Bismuth metal is brittle and easy to crush at room temperature. Bismuth does not react with oxygen or water. It is stable in air, and its brittle conductivity and thermal conductivity are poor. Bismuth selenides and tellurides have semiconductor properties and poor conductivity and thermal conductivity.
Application:1. Bismuth is mainly used in the manufacture of fusible alloys with melting point ranging from 47 to 262 C. Bismuth is commonly used in alloys composed of lead, tin, antimony, indium and other metals. Bismuth is used in fire fighting devices, automatic sprinklers and safety plugs of boilers. In case of fire, pistons of some water pipes will melt automatically and water will be ejected. 
 2. In fire fighting and electrical industry, it is used as automatic fire extinguishing system and electrical fuse and solder.
 3. Bismuth alloys have the characteristics of non-shrinkage during solidification, and are used for casting printing type and high precision casting mould. 
 4. Bismuth oxycarbonate and bismuth oxynitrate are used to treat skin injury and gastrointestinal diseases.
 5. There is also the production of bismuth-containing alloys, pharmaceuticals, chemical reagents, low melting point alloys, coolants and so on.
