Fertilizer and soil conditioner
A component of Portland cement used to prevent flash setting of concrete
Manufacturing plaster of Paris
Gypsum board is primarily used as for walls and ceilings, and is known in construction as drywall or plasterboard.
Varieties of gypsum known as “satin spar” and “alabaster” are used for variety of ornamental purposes, however their low hardness limits their durability
Gypsum is added to foot creams, shampoos and hair products (conditioners etc)
Gypsum is also used in the medical industry. Typically, the rocks are ground into a fine powder and used for hard casts to set broken bones and sprains.
