Our photovoltaic glass is laser-etched to remove thin lines of active solid cells; this is a process aimed to let the light pass thru the glass and gain transparency. The PV active material is dark red by nature (faces the sun) while the interior of the glass displays an aluminum-like color. Then, when we follow this process and laminate afterwards the glass using a colored interlayer (PVB), we get the color from both sides of the glass.
PV modules with built-in insulation layer, PV-thermal-in-one module, sealed hollow insulating modules,large-area modules( a lot bigger than standard 1.54m2 module) are all for the same purpose-BIPV. Today, Amplesun clients can order their PV module products with the transparency,size,shape,background color, and even background patterns specified by clients themselves.

Withthetemperatureincrease,modulepowerwilldecreaseaccordingly.Temperaturecoefficientforthinfilmsiliconsolarcellis0.2%/℃,andthatofcrystallinesolarcellis-0.5%/℃.Thatmeans,whenthemoduleisworkedon50℃condition,comparetotheefficiencyreachedon25℃teststandard,thinfilmsiliconsolarmodulewilllosearound5%,andthelossforcrystallinewillbearound12.5%.
Inconclusion,eventheSTCefficiencyofthinfilmsiliconsolarcellislow,theefficiencyinactualoperationconditionisnotfarawaytothatofcrystallinesolarcell.
B.Goodweaklightperformance:
Amorphous silicon is a direct-band-gap material with high absorption for the full spectrum.
Under low-light condition,such as overcast, dawn,dusk of a day or in a diffuse lighting, the power generation performance of amorphous silicon solar module has been proven to be higher than that of crystalline silicon solar module which is made by an indirect band gap material.
C.Less hot spot effect:
The elongated cells of a-Si thin film module help to reduce the hot spot effect of module, which leads to a great advantage of improving the power generation capacity,ensuring the safety in usage and product life.
D.Minimal breakage rate
Contributed by a proprietary technology adapted in Amplesun's a-Si manufacturing process, Amplesun a-Si module has a minimal breakage rate.
