Polyester nonwoven needle punched felt fabric is a synthetic needle punched needle punched felt made from polyester fibers. The polyester fibers are needle punched with a special needle punched felting needle, one with small barbs on the end. These barbs pull the polyester into itself, locking together to create a fabric.
Polyester needle punched felt is offered in a wide variety of densities and thicknesses to meet your needs. It offers a low cost alternative to wool, and can be used in many industrial and commercial applications. The maximum temperature of polyester needle punched felt is 300 degree F., compared to 200 degrees for pressed needle punched felts. This material is commonly used for filtration applications, gaskets, wipers, and padding in a wide variety of industries.
