Bitumen Emulsion is made up of three basic ingredients whichinclude bitumen, an emulsifying agent and water.. It it is a knownfact that asphalt and water do not mix, except under carefully
controlled conditions using highly specialized equipment andchemical additives. Cationic Emulsions which have positivechargd ions may be used at an ambient temperatures with
aggregates, which do not have to completely dry. Emulsions areless hazardous to use and can be applied in wider range ofconditions and used for many applications including road
surfacing.
