Summary
CANGAS PSA nitrogen generator is a new high-tech device which will replace bottled nitrogen and cryogenic nitrogen system. It has the advantages of low cost, small cubage, light weight; easy operation, easy maintenance, low running expense, fast N2 stream production, no pollution and easy to run or shut down. It is applied in wide fields, such as aerospace, chemical and refining, metals, oil/gas production, electronics, research, food, glass, health cave, pulp and paper, coal recover, oil and gas recovery, power generation, air pollution reduction and so on. The components of the CAN GAS PSA system generally include air buffer tank, N2 buffer tank, two adsorption vessels, control panel, a programmable logic controller (PLC), some pilot-gas tubings, a base plate, a high effective muffler, some processing valves, a nitrogen analyzer, a flow-meter, some gauge indications, two pressure reducing valves, filters, steel pipes and other manual ball-valves.

PSA Nitrogen Principle
The adsorbent of nitrogen pressure swing adsorption (PSA) generator is CMS (carbon molecular sieve). It will adsorb oxygen from compressed air, and then non-adsorbed gaseous nitrogen will be separated from air, turning into the production. The adsorbent will regenerate while depressurized. The CMS consists of special coals and it is manufactured through a range of processes like grinding, oxidation, molding, carbonization and a special treatment process. The CMS is black cylindrical granular adsorbent full of micro pores at the surface and the internal. The micro-hole diameters distribution is shown below as illustration.
