In 1901, Mr. Tan Chia Cher travelled to Singapore from China. Equipped with knowledge of dual languages, English and Chinese, he started as a one-man trader of South-East Asian commodities.

Since the 1950s, the Company has grown from strength-to-strength by becoming a major exporter of Rattan and Canes products to Europe, America, Middle-East and Asia in the 1970s when Mr. Peter Tan, our 2nd generation management took over the helm.
In 1974, we were officially registered as CHOON HONG & COMPANY PTE LTD . During this time, our Company established ourselves as one of the major exporter of rattan and canes products worldwide together with agro-commodities.
In 2010, in order to target the worldwide market at large and positioning the Company as a global brand, our Company was renamed as CH GLOBAL PTE LTD . In 2013, our 3rdgeneration management took over, Mr. Edwin Tan now operates the company as an internationally recognised and respected enterprise. Offices and factories were established in Singapore, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines.
