CPR Manikin For Infant

Operation instructions:
The installation of the manikin:
Take the infant manikin and display device out from the suitcase, connect the manikin with the display. Then take the power cord, 220v, 500ma/6v adaptor to connect with the display. Plug the power cord into the 220V power source, the whole connection is accomplished.
Setting:
After the connection, turn on the power of the display, press start key, setting the operational frequency at 100time/min,ready for operation.
Procedures and cautions during the operation:
1. open airway—— Due to the infant has soft ligament, the head can’t be leaned beyond for recluse the airway, hold the infant neck with one arm keeping air straight and open.
2. Correct and error displays in artificial ventilation —— While correctly carrying out the mouth-to-mouth (or mouth-to-mouth &nose as the infant has the smaller and closer mouth and nose) breathing, the air quantity in ventilation shall be 30-50 ml and the green light indicates. If the air quantity is greater than 50ml, the yellow light indicates. If the air quantity is faster than 30ml within 0.27second, the red light indicates.
3. Correct and error prompts in compression—— Placing the hands on the lower half of the infant manikin’s sternum, above the xiphoid process, doing the chest compression with two fingers or the thumb. The correct chest compression depth is 10-20mm and the green light indicates. If compressing on the wrong chest area, the red light indicates. If the strength of compression is stronger than 20mm, the yellow light indicates.
Operational mode:
1. Lay the infant manikin on the solid flat station or place on the arm, or the operator can hold the infant manikin with two hands for operational training.
2. Referring to 2005 CPR, and ECC instructions standards:
a). Individual: The ratio is 30:2 (30 external chest compressions and two mouth-to-mouth blowing). And the operation frequency is 100times/min. First, carry out two times of mouth-to-mouth blowing, then carry out the external chest compression 30 times, in accordance with the 100times/min frequency, it is required that five consecutive cycles shall be carried out within the demanded time.
b.) Duo: The ratio is 15:2 (15 external chest compressions and two mouth-to mouth blowing). And the operation frequency is 100times/min. First, carry out two times of mouth-to-mouth blowing, then carry out the external chest compression 15 times, in accordance with the 100times/min frequency, it is required that five consecutive cycles shall be carried out within the demanded time.
c). Check the brachial artery, pinches the rubber ball for simulating pulse
Maintenance and Repair:
1.After the usage, the manikin’s face, mouth, nose, chest skin, respiratory tract and inlet valve shall be sterilized and cleaned with thimerosal.
2.When replacing the broken airbag, open the chest cover, take out the gasket on the lung air bag and the nail cap of slide rod of the sensor artificial respiration, twist out the nut connecting the lung air bag and replace a new lung air bag, then assemble and restore it.
3. Store the manikin and computer display device in a dry and ventilated place; do not place them in the humidity or with the exposure of sunshine, which will influence the service life.
Notice:
1. When carrying out the mouth-mouth blowing, the sterile gauze shall be used, one piece for one person
to avoid the infection.
2. Washing the hands before carrying out the operation, the operator shall wipe off lipstick to prevent the stained on the face skin and chest skin of the dummy. The pens are prohibited to write on the skin.
3. When carrying out the compression operations, press it in accordance with the frequency, Do not press randomly, or the computer program might be in error. If the program is in error, turn off the power of the computer display device and restart it for properly maintain the service life.
