Hardboard enjoys cheap price and high-density properties. It also is very environment-friendly because ordinary hardboard does not use any glue inside so emission is 0. And if you choose glue added hardboard type, this board will be waterproof. It is easy to cut and but not easy to go out of shape. Automotive hardboard is less expensive than other plastic and composite materials used for interior hard trim applications. It gives superior flexural strength and stiffness over a wide range of temperature. Used in the sandwich construction with a low-density core, hardboard can provide strong but the lightweight option for load-bearing applications.

Hardboard is also a good choice for the sound proof application.
