The active self-locking bracket is characterized in that after the arch wire is incorporated into the groove, under certain conditions (such as the archwire is larger than a certain size or the tooth is severely twisted and inclined), the arch wire is in contact with the elastic or inelastic sliding cover of the lip of the groove. The archwire is subjected to a constant gentle thrust from the slider to the bottom of the groove, which helps the tooth achieve torque and positive axis.
