An innovative project to utilize industrial
waste plastics and convert them into useful ropes. These ropes
are stronger than nylon ropes and are not affected in ultra violet
rays. They come out of BOPP or PET plastic films mainly used in the
packaging industry and printing industry. These wastes are otherwise
burnt into oven and they create a lot of air pollution. Such a useful
application prevents air pollution and utilizes the waste to serve as a
better alternative to nylon ropes. This product is now sold as packaged
ropes, 30 feet long, under the brand name of “Shakti Polychord”.
