Calcium carbonate is a chemical substance with CaCO3formulae. Calcium Carbonate is a solid white material that can be found in high capacity in the composition of the rocks in all parts of the world. Its major minerals are Aragonite, limestone, marble and travertine. It is solved in water very little.
Also its other type is Precipitated Carbonate Calcium. In precipitating method, instead of mechanical mining (crushing), chemical processes are used and at the end, a better quality and purity is acquired.
Usages:
Calcium carbonate loses CO2 by heating and changes to limestone which is used in construction, Iron mining and steel production as an aid and in making calcium carbide. Lime is used in agricultural to reform the soil and adjusting its pH. Calcium carbonate is used in medical as anti-acid to neutralize stomach acid. Calcium carbonate is a safe chemical with very low risk that it’s breathing or eating or contact with the skin and eyes (of course in short period of time) does not cause any danger.
