Mill Scale is a scrap collected by the steel mill operations, located in Italy and other European countries.
At a visual inspection, the material appears as a black metal powder made of small particles and chips. Its physical state is solid and powdered. The material is stable and it is insoluble in H2O. From the analysis, we performed on the scrap and according to the Italian national law, the material has been classified as a SPECIAL NON-DANGEROUS WASTE.
It's average composition is the following:Fe: 71,22% SiO2: 0,98%Al2O3: 0,11%CaO: 0,32%P: 0,026%S: 0,054%
We have available about 24,000 tons a year (about 2000 tons/month).
The scrap shall be loaded loose in 20' Upgrade containers (about 27 tons each) and according to the European laws that regulate the shipment of waste (EU law no. 1013_2006, 1418_2007, 740_2008 e 837_2010).
