Brand: SILEX
Model Number: WET 1092
Panel Material: Metal
Field of application: Cold Storage
Product descriptionWET 1092WET is the perfect panel for engineers when they must solve very complex technical problems regarding thermal insulation, vapour barriers, climatic rooms, fire resistance and fire reaction.
Wet panel has been engineered for walls construction and external claddings which require high technical performances, in the cold sector for air-conditioned rooms and controlled atmosphere and in the building sector to realize domestic walls and modular homes.
Wet accomplishes an important application in the construction of climatic rooms where frequent thermal shocks, due to production cycles with an elevated tax of humidity, exalt its performances.
The particular double-graft joint allow the application of specific silicones in the labyrinth to seal the joint, guaranteeing the perfect endurance of the vapour barrier, an essential performance in the realization of air-conditioned rooms in the food sector.

Manufacturing processes evolved over time, together with the technical skills and the production capacity of this group until the production of cutting-edge sandwich panels made of steel and polyurethane Quality, design and innovation are, then and now, the distinguishing marks of SILEX panels, thanks to a group of people who share the same passion, commitment and innovative view while carrying out their work. The custom care and the confidence in the future are the same as in the 1962.
1962Renzo Navarra, being not willing to operate as a farmer like his parents, decided to start a craft business on his own related to cold stores. At the beginning he used rice hulls for the insulation of cold rooms and only later cork plates applied with marine glue. He then started using expanded polystyrene sheets fixed to the walls through glue and concrete. All these works were carried out as subcontractor on behalf of Perlite in Milan.1966Renzo Navarra, together with his wife Gabriella Pasolini, set up an individual company based in Cesena under the name of ISOLAMENTI di Navarra Renzo. 6 workers and an employee were hired immediately after1970ISOLAMENTI di Navarra Renzo was the first company in Italy to insulate the pipes of the first cooling equipments by injecting liquid polyurethane inside aluminum shells (containers). once solidified the polyurethane was, then and now, the best insulating material used in cold stores.1973ISOLAMENTI di Navarra Renzo was replaced by EDILPLASTIC which hired the previous staff plus its first site technician.1974EDILPLASTIC Snc built the biggest cold store in Europe. The customer was PKB in Belgrade (Serbia), a government cooperative for the processing and preservation of fruits. The insulation of the cold store was made with the new self-supporting polyurethane sandwich panels which allowed to remove both the masonry for the wall support and the counter-ceilings1975EDILPLASTIC di Renzo Navarra built the highest cold room in Italy which was 28 m high with an internal temperature of –27°C. It was ordered by the company SAM in Bojano (CB). This kind of self-supporting cold stores are now more and more demanded1988EDILPLASTIC di Renzo Navarra became NAV SYSTEM Srl.1991NAV SYSTEM built the first freezing tunnel for tuna fish in Sampierana (Genova), with an internal temperature of -65°C. The customer was the company Vebo Europa Fish.1992Renzo Navarra understood the new needs of the market to get a polyurethane sandwich panel suitable for cold rooms and fire resistant at the same time, so he started to strongly invest in the research to find a possible solution.1993NAV SYSTEM Srl built the first discontinuous production plant for polyurethane sandwich panels 1,10 m. wide.1994In 1994 the innovative panel FIREX REI 120 was finally patented. It was a revolutionary polyurethane sandwich panel with a double layer of concrete which guaranteed the highest degree of insulation for positive and negative cold stores and a REI 120 fire protection, all in just one product. With this product Renzo Navarra opened a new frontier in the field of the industrial cold stores.1999In a weekend night a terrible fire destroyed NAV-SYSTEM's production site.2000After an initial discouragement, the willingness to start again pushed Navarra's family and its staff to roll up their sleeves and build a new production site completely renewed2001NAV SYSTEM Srl was recognized as an accredited research laboratory by M.I.U.R. (Ministry of Instruction, University and Research,). This was the crowning achievement of its long activity of research and development of new products, started in the early 90's.2003NAV SYSTEM Srl patented an innovative noise barrier for roads and railways named BARINTEL.2004NAV SYSTEM Srl made its first turn-key project for APOFRUIT, including construction works, cold stores and warehouse. They also arranged the adjustment of the existing building which had to be incorporated into the new one.2010NAV SYSTEM Spa built an innovative plant for the continuous production of polyurethane sandwich panels which is still at the forefront in Europe2011The new products manufactured with P.I.R foam were the first ones in Italy to get the EI 30-45-60 certifications2017NAV-SYSTEM obtained the EPD (Environmental Product Declarations) certification

During our multiannual activity we built over 1900 turnkey refrigerated warehouses and produced over 30,000,000 m2 of sandwich panels
