1) Germicidal and disinfection agent: tincture of iodine
2) To synthesize potassium iodide, sodium iodide, compound iodine solution,
iodized oil in the food industry
3) To compound sodium iodide and potassium iodide in other industries
4) Used as catalyzer in chemical and metallurgical industries
5) Iodine is the material for pesticide
6) In the dyestuff industry: iodine is the material to synthesize organic dyestuffs
7) In the lighting industry: tungsten-iodine lamps, color light lamps
