According to the area geometry and environmental soundabsorbing qualities of the different surfaces, it may requirea large number of baffles to achieve the disired acoustic effect. It may well be that the layout and utilization of thearea makes the installation of many baffles impractical. When hanging baffles alone cannot achieve the desiredacoustics Absorbers can supplement the effect. Where the required acoustic effect cannot be achieved bythe use of acoustic baffles alone we recommend the use of our new broad band - and low frequency wall mountedabsorbers.

DEGO Baffles are particularly useful in situations where the roof space needs to support various services or it is
important to allow natural light. Not only are excellent acoustic results achieved in this way, but aesthetically
innovative solutions are created. Typical uses are in schools, leisure centres, exhibition areas, offices, factories, studios and other internal building areas.DEGO bafflesorba ecopaint suspended noise absorbing baffles have a white speckled painted finish on all 6 sides, giving a crisp, visually attractive appearance. Bafflesorba can be fitted as individual stand-alone baffles to create a design feature or can be butted together to form continuous lines of baffles. The perimeter edges of the baffles are square edged.The baffles should not be installed in areas where impact resistance is required.
Spiral hooks are supplied separately to allow the contractor to install Bafflesorba ecopaint acoustic baffles either horizontally (landscape) or vertically (portrait). The horizontal position tends to be the most popular.

The standard Bafflesorba paint surface finish comes in white RAL 9016. However, they can be emulsion spray painted on site to any colour with little significant effect on acoustical performance. The panels can be painted for aesthetic reasons or even in the future to cover dirty marks. It is important that the paint is a water based matt emulsion and is applied in a very light mist spray coat so that the acoustics are not affected.
