MAXIMUM TIMES PER SIDEIf you exceed the maximum time suggested for a record side, it can affect the quality of the audio.This is because distortion and high frequency loss become an issue as you near the center of the record. The longer the record, the more program is packed into the inner dimensions of the record. Please follow these mastering guidelines for best results:
• Allbassfrequenciesshouldbecentered(below150Hz).
Phaseissuesinthebassfrequenciescancauseacollapseofthegroove,causingaskip.• Tamesibilance.Toomuchsibilancewillcausedistortiononplayback.Thisshouldbeaddressed
at the mix level for best results.Additionalde essingduringthepre masteringstageandcutting processmaybepossible.• Avoidexcessivehighfrequencies.Excessive frequenciesabove10kHzcan causedistortion.• Trytoavoidusingpsychoacousticprocessorstoanexcessivedegree.• Donot"clip"waveforms.Thistechniqueisoftenusedincdmasteringtoachieveahotlevel,
and usually causesdistortionwhencut.Ifarecutisrequestedonarecordcutwithclipped
audio,it willbefullybillable.• Avoidtoomuchlimiting.Toomuchbrickwalllimitingcancausedistortioninthecut.Recuts
