Metal Business Unit_Iron \$ Steel Department

The Iron & Steel Division exports high-quality steel products produced by domestic steel-makers to all over the world. It also sources low-priced steel products in the China, Asia and other parts of the world and sells these products in China, Asia and others. The Division also imports half-finished steel products from China and Japan and supplies them to domestic rolled steel-makers. The Division maintains an advantage over its competitors by concentrating on locating outstanding steel and iron makers and end users and securing long-term contracts as well as raising profitability through the sales of mainly high-quality steel products in its key markets centered around Japan and Southern Asia. It is also making an aggressive entry into new markets in Europe and Latin America through joint sales activities with steel-makers. Since its designation as the official export channel for POSCO, the worlds largest steel-maker, the Division has devoted unceasing efforts towards developing overseas markets for the past twenty years.
