Hot Foil / StampingA foil of your choice is heated up and pressed into the card (letterpress foil). Available in a wide choice of colours – including metallics like gold foil, silver foil, copper foil, red, blue and a number of other colours; and opaque non-metallic solid colours like black, white, grey and a wide range of colours – this gives a unique, high-end sophisticated look to your business cards.
Spot UV
Spot UV is where you have certain content on the business card, perhaps a logo, name, and/or background graphic, with a gloss coating over it. This creates added “pop” and shine, it can help to make certain elements stand out. Making your business card more special and unique, this is a good cost-effective option for those just looking to add a little creativity and interesting look to the card, without going overboard (or over budget!).
Die-cut Shape
We can die-cut your business cards into (almost!) any shape you like. Perhaps you’d like your business card in the shape of a flower if you’re a florist; or a camera outline for a photographer; or just your logo or another shape out of the card itself, this can be a great way to make sure that your business is remembered and talked about, long after the
“hand-over”!
Letterpress
Letterpress printing has become the go-to printing technique for wedding invitations, greeting cards, and business cards for anyone hoping to make an impression (pun intended) on the recipient.
Embossing / Debossing
Embossing (top) is when the image is raised on the paper - think certificate or diploma. This is done with a die + counter and is done without ink or registered to foil. We use metal plates which are slightly more expensive but hold finer detail.
Debossing (bottom) is the effect that occurs with deep impression letterpress. The image or design is pressed into the paper and can be done with or without ink (blind). We print letterpress designs with photopolymer plates.
Edge painting
We also offer edge painting & edge foiling in a number of colours, which is done by hand and can help add that special finishing touch which can make all the difference; as well as die-cutting and other special features.
