AFP(ALPHA-FETOPROTEIN) Elisa Reagents Kits(Quantitative)
This AFP ELISA (Quantitative) is an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for in vitro quantitative determination of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) concentrations in the range of 2-400ng/ml in human serum or plasma samples.


PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
This assay was standardized against Reference Standards from the Reference Laboratory for Immunology Product under the Ministry of Health, China.Normal values of AFP:
Male: 0.47 - 8.5ng/ml
Female: 0.37 - 6.5ng/ml
Gestation, week 16: 25ng/mlPathological values of AFP:
Hepatocarcinoma: > 350ng/ml
Hepatitis: < 350ng/mlIn a normal healthy population, 97-98% of the individuals have AFP levels less than 8.5ng/ml while concentration between 100-350ng/ml suggests hepatocellular carcinoma. Concentrations over 350ng/ml normally are indication of carcinomas. The endpoint sensitivity of this kit is about 2ng/ml AFP.Specificity: > 99% calculated by a panel of samples obtained from 500 healthy individuals with confirmed levels of AFP less than 8.5ng/ml.No cross reactivity observed with samples from patients infected with HAV, HBV, HCV, HIV, CMV, and TP.
No interference from elevated levels of rheumatoid factors up to 2000U/ml.
