The series features a transparent hand-blown glass orb diffuser accented by a chrome plated steel handle. The round bubble pendant light holder assembly and stem are offered inchrome plated steel. Mounting to standard electrical junction boxes. The Miconosseries also includes floor, wall, ceiling and table versions. Gismondi has played asignificant role in progressive design circles. An Italian designer and engineer, hepreviously studied aeronautical & aerospace studies in Milan. He co-foundedArtemide with Sergio Mazza in 1959 and designed a variety of lights. He resided as the president of the progressive Memphis design group, vice president of ADI,involved with the Milan Triennale and connected with a number of ministerial commissions on design.
