Ice-World International is the global market leader producing and supplying over 600 ice rinks each year all over the world. The company was formed in 1992 and operates through its ever increasing dealer network. The fold-out aluminium system’s patented technology is what makes our rinks unique and quick and easy to install. Our ice rinks keep cool up to 30o C/85 o F degrees.
Ice-World produces and rents out Mobile Ice Rinks for skating used at all kinds of events - with an extreme peak season in the month of December and January. Occasionally, the ice rinks are also used for permanent purposes, but the majority of the projects are temporary and located in the town/city centers.

Technique
Ice-World offers a patented and modular system. The ice rinks consist of a series of aluminum fold-out elements that are easily connected to each other by using quick release couplings. What makes the system unique is the fold-out aluminum ice floor, which can be easily unfolded without tools or equipment, just like a huge tablecloth. The system combines speed and quality, as everything is pre-assembled and tested at their production facilities in Etten-leur (NL).
Excellent ice quality
Our ice rinks are efficient and extremely reliable (even in countries with warmer climates). The rink cooling system can be very quickly adjusted thanks to the superior conductivity of the aluminum, thereby guaranteeing that the ice is kept at a constantly high quality. Significant advantage: the skating rink can be set up in a day.
Skating on wind energy
As from 1 November 2009, Ice-World buys power from wind turbines which supply a capacity of 3 GWh every year. This amount of renewable energy is sufficient to chill all our ice rinks worldwide.
Energy efficient and environmentally friendly
Thanks to the ice rink system consisting of modular aluminium elements, the ice rink consumes up to 40% less energy than any other type of mobile ice rink. This is all due to the good thermal conductivity of the aluminium modules and the fact that the cooling lines are embedded directly in the ice. Another positive feature is that the system is leak free.
Environmental management is an integral part of our business strategy and operational activities, that’s why Ice-World is ISO 14001 certified. Moreover, the refrigerant used by Ice-World is propylene glycol, which is environmentally friendly in all aspects.
