HOW TO CHOOSE CASTER
Using casters can reduce the work force and increase the work efficiency. The right caster should be chosen by
the manner of application condition and request (for example facility, laboursaving burability). The factor must be considered as follows.
FLEXIBILITY
(1)The casters should be flexible, easily used and durable. The materials with low friction coefficient or assembled parts after specified processing should be chosen as its rotating parts (such as its leg frame and wheels).
(2) The bigger eccentric distance of the leg frame, the more flexible it rotates, with a much lower loading capacity accordingly.
(3) The bigger wheel diameter, the less energy cost it will be, and it’s better for ground protection. The bigger wheel runs slower than the smaller one, so it is not easy to have thermal deformation and is more durable. So the wheels with bigger diameter are recommended on the condition that height requirement is available during fitting.
MOVING SPEED
The requests of caster speed: at the normal temperature and on the smooth floor, the speed should be lower than 4Km/h of walk and there must be static interval during the work time.
USAGE ENVIRONMENT
Before choosing the casters, you should consider the ground material, barrier residue and special environment (eg. Scrap iron, high or low temperature, strong acidity and basicity, grease, chemical solvent and ESD environment). Special processed casters should be chosen if they are used in special environment.
