Product Description
1. Purpose and scope of application
1.1 Being a machine capable of automatic rotation and continuous tablet pressing, this machine is mainly used for tablet production in pharmaceutical industry, especially pressing of large materials that cannot be easily formed in chemical engineering, foods and electronic industries etc.
1.2 This machine is suitable for pressing of granular materials that can be formed (within pressure range of this machine) and with a powder content (>100 mesh) no more than 10%.
1.3 This machine can be used to press round and engraved tablets 5-25mm thick.
1.4 This machine cannot be used to press semisolid and damp grains, materials of low FNP and dampen easily, or powders without grains.

3.1 Turntable structure
Being the major actuator of this machine, the turntable is composed of an upper and a lower bearing assembly, a main axle and a turntable etc. Punching dies are evenly distributed on the circumference of the turntable, and a parallel key is used to transfer torque between the turntable and the main axle. Backed up by a tapered roller bearing, the main axle is driven by a worm gear pair. Through the parallel key, rotation of the main axle will drive the turntable to rotate.
3.2 Rail-guide mechanism
The rail-guide mechanism has a cylindrical cam and a planar cam composed of an upper rail-guide and a lower rail-guide, and is the up and down movement track of punching rods. The upper rail-guide consists of multiple rail guides, such as an up-pulling rail, a down-pressing rail, an up-punching parallel rail and an up-punching lubrication rail etc, all fastened to the upper rail-guide plate. The lower rail-guide is composed of a discharging rail, a down-punching and lowering rail, a filling rail and a bridge-crossing rail, all installed on the lower rail-guide seat. A handling rail is positioned at the exit of the lowering rail to facilitate assembly and disassembly of the lower punching rod.
3.3 Filling adjustment device
This device is used to adjust tablet weight, composed of a worm gear pair and a helical pair, where the worm drives the worm wheel which in turn drives the screw rod to move up and down, making the filling rail installed on the screw shaft to ascend or descend to change the filling amount which can be told from the dial.
3.4 Tablet thickness adjustment device
This device is used to adjust tablet thickness, and is composed of an upper pressing wheel and a lower pressing wheel, pressing wheel carriers, pressing wheel shafts and a gear box, wherein the upper pressing wheel is mounted on the upper pressing wheel carrier, and up-punching depth can be adjusted by turning the upper pressing wheel shaft after the positioning board is loosened; the lower pressing wheel shaft is fixed on a bearing that can slide along its guide bar. Up and down movement of the lower pressing wheel can be realized by adjusting the worm gear of the tablet thickness adjustment device to drive the governing screw rod, the slide block, and bearing and the lower pressing wheel shaft; the lower pressing wheel decides thickness of tablets.
3.5 Feeding device and air-drafting device
The feeding device consists of a hopper, enforced feeders, a mounting board and a governing strut etc, wherein the enforced feeders are driven by a motor and are installed on two sides of the turntable. Clearance between each enforced feeder and the turntable can be adjusted through the adjusting strut. The air-drafting device is composed of an air-drafting mantle and an air-drafting adjustor, and air-drafting flow can be changed by adjusting the handle of the air-drafting adjustor.
3.6 Driving parts for
Driving parts of this machine consist of a motor, sync belt pulleys, a worm-gear reducer and a commissioning hand wheel etc, wherein the motor is positioned on the motor board of the bottom plate. When started, the motor transfers driving force to the reducing worm gear pair through a pair of sync belt pulleys, and motor speed can be adjusted through AC variable-frequency stepless speed regulation. These parts can be directly observed and accessed by opening two side doors or the rear door. Tension of the sync cog belt can be changed by moving the motor.
3.7 Housing parts
Housing of this machine is fully-enclosed, as required by GMP. The upper part of the housing is composed of four windows that are supported by gas springs to facilitate window movements, cleaning and maintenance. The lower part is enclosed by a stainless steel door that is normally locked and can be opened only during maintenance or installation of punching dies. An operating platform is positioned in front of the machine, covered by transparent organic glass. The pressing chamber is separated from driving parts by stainless steel mantles to keep the chamber clean and free from being contaminated by powders from driving parts. Two fans for heat radiation purposes are installed on the bottom plate of the machine.
3.8 Lubrication parts
Up-punching and down-punching rods as well as rail tracks of the machine will be lubricated by oil collectively provided by an electrical lubrication pump, and oil lubrication can be set and controlled through PLC. Bearings inside pressing wheel holes, as well as bearings of the main axle and bearings inside the wheel carriers shall be manually lubricated by grease, generally once every month.
4. Transportation and installation
4.1 Transportation and installation
This machine should be transported and installed by strictly following transportation and installation regulations. should be fixed as a whole on the bottom plate of the crate, in order to avoid shock damages during transportation.
4.1.1 Transportation and handling regulations
Signs on the crate should be marked according to GB191 . Hoisting and handling works should follow hoisting signs on the crate, avoid severe vibration and keep vertical.
4.1.2 Unpacking and installation regulations
During unpacking, remove the top plate and side plates of the crate first, and then hook up to the eye screw atop the machine to hoist it with a crane. Make sure the hoisting capacity of the crane is no less than 4,000kg. Emplace the absorbing pad and hoist the machine to prescribed position.
