Q1:How tall of a tomato plant can I grow under this light while making sure the lower parts of the plant receive enough light?
A: I currently have 7 plants in a 2ftx4ftx5ft with one SF 2000. My plants are in week 7 with “tomatoes” getting fat. My plants are about 4ft but two had grown up above five feet that I had to LST the long branches to at the most 1ft from the light. Tomatoes are looking good from top to bottom.
Q2:How much does it cost in electricity for a month?
A: Depends on your local electric company cost per kwh, about $20 to S30 a month (162.5kwh) for Sf2000.
Q3:Can these lights be daisy chained ?
A: Yes, the current version does have a daisy chain function.
Q4:Can the boards be removed from the metal? Wanted to use these boards for a build if they can be removed and are only screwed down?
A: They probably can be removed. There are screws on the board but they look like they are there to hold the driver mount. The driver is mounted to the back of the light. It’s more than likely thermal paste that is used to hold the boards to the metal.
Q5:Can I use these with soil grows. Not hydroponic grows. Will they work good still with soil?
A: Absolutely! Great lights for all mediums. I've had a couple of their lights and highly recommend them. Pay attention to your grow space per light needs though (flower/bloom cycle)
