The properties of Biaxial Geogrids, made in Polypropylene (PP) with their square apertures,
hightensile strength and optimised geometry of nodesand ribs make them equal to any other
similar material. The reinforcing action of PP BiaxialGeogrids lies mainly in confining soil and
increasingits shearing resistance by a process of interlockingbetween the square ribs and the soil.
The loaddispersal effect from the interlocking mechanism ishighly effective and can reduce sub-base
thicknessand construction cost. PP Biaxial Geogrids can beused with any kind of mechanical fill material.
