Thailand is one of the world’s major producers and exporters of pineapples, and the ‘mini pineapple’ – a distinctive variety of the main species – grows in the drier north of the country. It is a small tropical fruit with all the luscious flavor of its bigger cousins. Available in all seasons, mini pineapples are an excellent source of Vitamin C and manganese; a very good source of copper; and a good source of Vitamins B1 and B6, dietary fiber and folate.
