Features
Aluminum foam is added into pure aluminum or aluminum alloy after foaming process, and has both metal and bubble characteristics. It has low density, high shock absorption ability, high temperature resistance, strong fire resistance, corrosion resistance, sound insulation and noise reduction, low thermal conductivity, high electromagnetic shielding, strong weather resistance, filtering ability, easy processing, easy installation, high forming accuracy, and surface coating.
Advantages:
1. Light weight: density is 0.1-0.4 times that of metal aluminium.
2. High specific stiffness: Its bending specific stiffness is 1.5 times that of steel.
3. High damping and shock energy absorption: the damping performance is 5-10 times as much as that of metal aluminium. When the foam aluminum with porosity of 84% has 50% variants, it can absorb more than 2.5MJ/m3 energy.
4. Good acoustic function:
(1) sound insulation performance (closed cell): when the sound frequency is between 800 and 4000HZ, the sound insulation coefficient of closed cell aluminum foam is more than 0.9.
(2) sound absorption properties (micro through-hole and through hole): when the sound frequency is between 125---4000HZ, the sound absorption coefficient of the foamed aluminum is up to 0.8, and the average absorption coefficient of the octave is more than 0.4.
5. Excellent electromagnetic shielding performance: when the electromagnetic wave frequency is between 2.6 and 18GHZ, the electromagnetic shielding capacity of aluminum foam can reach 60 to 90dB.
6. Good thermal properties: closed cell foam with porosity of 80---90%, equivalent to marble. The porous aluminum foam has good heat dissipation under forced convection conditions due to its interconnected pores.
7. It does not burn and has good heat resistance. Corrosion resistance, good weather resistance, low moisture absorption, non-aging, non-toxic.
8. Easy to process: easy to cut, drill and cementing; bendable to the desired shape by moulding; surface treatment with organic or inorganic paint; two-sided skin, forming a large-scale light, high-rigidity board.
9. Easy to install: foam aluminum can be installed at high places without mechanical lifting equipment, such as ceiling, walls and roofs, etc., which can be mechanically or directly connected and fixed with screws, or can be pasted on walls or ceilings with adhesives.
10. The "sandwich" structure formed by metal sheet - aluminum foam - metal sheet inherits the excellent properties of aluminum foam, and has high bending strength. It can be used as new structural material, high rigidity structural parts of rolling stock and so on.
