Product Description
Top Medical calcium alginate dressing is non woven dressing made from calcium algiante fibers. The dressing is highly comfortable, soft, sterile, absorbent and fast gelling. As wound fluid is absorbed, the algiante forms a gel, which helps support autolytic debridement, while maintaining a moist environment for optimal wound healing. The dressings are reinforced for intact removal.
Product Features
1. Be made out of natural seaweed and calcium, biocompatible and degradable.
2. Absorb and retain moderate and heavy exudates and blood (up to 20 times) to form gel, reduce risk of maceration.
3. Provide moist environment to promote wound healing.
4. Release of calcium ion could activate prothrombin, and could stop bleeding effectively.
5. Bacteria are trapped in the gel formed by the exudate absorbed and removed during dressing change (autolytic debridement).
Intended Use
Top Medical calcicum alginate dressings are indicated for moderate to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds, such as:

The calcicum algiante dressing can be used under compression bandages. As the product contains algiante, it may assist in supporting the control of minor bleeding in superfical wounds.
