Description:
Trees, up to 30 meters, diameter of 1.5 m; bark orange, fragmented into irregular pieces or flakes off, the upper part of the trunk bark reddish brown; branches spreading formed umbrella canopy; annual branches yellow or red and yellow, slightly glaucous, glabrous; winter buds oblong oval, dark brown, slightly with resin, bud scales strip lanceolate, apex micro anti-roll, filamentous edge. Conifer needles in bunches of 2, 5-12 cm long, diameter of about 1 mm, apex slightly pointed, both sides stomatal lines, margin serrulate; semi-circular cross-section, the lower skin layer of cells, dilute two to three corners layer, about 4-6 resin ducts, raw edge. Pale yellow male cones, cylindrical, 5-12 mm long, the lower part of the new branch was born in poly short spicate, 4-7 cm long; reddish purple female cones, solitary or 2-3 together students, annual small cone and seed scales apex with short spines. Cones mature dark brown or pale brown yellow, seed scales open, soon fall off, oval or ovate-conical, 3-5.5 cm long, 2.5-4.5 cm in diameter, with short stems; seed scales thin, diamond scales shield flat, generally flat, thin with slightly elevated transverse ridges, scales umbilical flat or slightly raised with short spines, thin unarmed; seeds obovate elliptical or ovoid, 4-7 mm long; even the wings 1.5-2 cm long, seed wing width of 5-7 mm; 5-8 pieces of cotyledon, 2.5-4 cm long, narrow strip of primary leaves, the veins bulge on both sides, 2-3 cm long, margin serrulate. Flowering in April, the second cone in late September to October mature.
