Ar-Tu Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. was founded in 1983 as a family company. It has various activities in different sectors. They are marketing, finishing and tanning chemicals since 1989. After 1998 AR-TU Kimya started to market valonia extract (valex), which is only produced in Turkey. We increase our intensity on marketing valex both locally and internationally. The main activity of AR-TU Kimya is the production of tanning materials based on natural tanning. Valonia extract, valex which is a natural tanning is solely founded in Turkey. The plant is designed for specialized production of highest quality stated in valonia extract with a capacity of 9,000 tons/year. The production is 80% exported to several countries including Italy, France, Germany, Mexico and Brazil. There are trials in order to produce natural tanning blends currently.Regarding the bioenergy activities, the Company produces pellets from the valonia residue.
