Oak trees are very slow-growing and don’t reseed readily. It is one of the most recognizable trees in Latvia. Oak wood is dark brown and it is a hardwood. Oak firewood must be middle aged, dried and not punky. If oak firewood is punky, the wood creates only smokes without any heat. Oak firewood has the largest number of heat intensity. 5,6 Mwh/t.
Length of logs: 25 cm +/- 1 cm.
Diameter of logs min. 4 cm, max. 18 cm.
Max. 20 % of the logs are less than 8 cm or
more than 15 cm.
Moisture level: < 20%. All firewood is kiln dried. Fungus, mould and insect free.
Packing units: 35L (50 x 65cm) UV-resistant
Polypropylene bags. Firewood is packed
after the drying process is finished.
Bags are properly filled and look solid.
Weight of a 35L bag is 12kg (+/-1kg)
Transport information:
Semitrailer - Standard solution is 50 pallets, two pallets on top of each other (2100 bags) in truck load.
