The leaves are transported to our processing centre located within the farm and washed well with clean water, leaves seperated from the stalk and dried on the trays inside the drying room.
Moringa, also known as Tree of life, clarifier tree, horseradish tree and drumstick tree, has been used for centuries by people living in Asia and many parts of Africa. It also has hundreds of medicinal uses for both prevention and treatment. This may be due to its novel isothiocynate compounds which is a class of phytochemicals.
The nutritional benefits of Moringa are numerous, as it is high in vitamins A and C and is an excellent source of B vitamins, magnesium, protein, iron, and other essential nutrients. It is a compound that is rich in antioxidants and, in addition to high levels of vitamin C and beta carotene, and chlorogenic acid which can help moderate blood sugar levels after meals, Moringa also contains quercetin, which may lower blood pressure.
