The SilverGuard Wand is an electronic guard patrol system that replaces the traditional mechanical time clock previously used by security personnel. During a watch tour, the security officer carries the SilverGuard iButton Wand (SG5), or the SilverGuard SG4T iButton Wand, which are both hand-held guard tour readers. The SG5 Wand is housed in a stainless steel case for unsurpassed durability in harsh guard tour environments. Using the hand-held reader, the security officer simply touches the reader to each patrol checkpoint (each of these checkpoints is in the form of a SilverGuard SilverTag Chip) to record the location, date and time of the patrol. Patrol information is transferred via the Data Transfer Stations to a printer, a computer or to the Central Monitoring Station for processing. The SilverGuard guard tour equipment monitors field personnel, and is used in industries that deploy field personnel.
