Introduction
Myoglobin, Creatine Kinase MB and cardiac Troponin I are proteins released into bloodstream after cardiac injury. Myoglobin is released into blood rapidly when muscle cells are damaged. CK-MB is released into blood, following an MI and this can be detected within 3-8 hours after onset of symptoms. Troponin I is part of a three sub-unit complex comprised of Troponin T and Troponin C. Along with tropomyosin, this structural complex forms the main component that regulates the calcium sensitive ATPase activity of actomyosin in striated skeletal and cardiac muscle. Troponin I is released into blood 4-6 hours after onset of pain.
The Myoglobin/CK-MB/Troponin I combo Test Device is a qualitative membrane based immunoassay for the for the detection of the three proteins. Each of test are available.

Directions For Use
Allow test cassette, specimen, buffer and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature (15-30°C) prior to testing.
1.Bring the pouch to room temperature before opening it. Remove the test device from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible. Best results will be obtained if the assay is performed within one hour.
2.Place the test device on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 full drops of serum or plasma (approx. 75μL) to each specimen well (S) of the test device respectively, then start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well (S). See illustration below.
3.Wait for the red line(s) to appear. Read results at 15 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.
Interpretation Of Results
POSITIVE: Two red lines appear. One line should be in the control line region (C) and another line should be in the test line region (T).
NEGATIVE: One Red line appears in the control line region (C). No apparent red or pink line appears in the test line region (T).
INVALID: Control line fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line failure.
