The originalFrancis turbinehas been modified from time to time to improve its efficiently, and today, an efficiently of more than 93% has been reached.Francis turbineis a versatile one and can work over a very wide range of heads from 25m onwards to 550m. This is a reaction type of turbine where water is admitted at high pressure into the runner, and pressure energy is converted into mechanical energy, because of the reaction of water when traveling over the curved vanes. As the pressure inside the turbine varies,Francis turbineis also called a variable pressure turbine.
Runner shapedepends on the head, output and specific speed of a turbine. Runner vanes numbers depends upon head, output and rotational speed of the runner. It may vary from 10 to 20. This number may be less than the number of guide vanes. To prevent water under pressure from bypassing the runners and finding its way directly from the guide vane to the draft tube, sealing rings called labyrinth rings are provided at the exit of the runner on the outer face to the band.

Francis turbine
Francis turbine is a kind of turbine suit to water head 20-300meters and with certain suitable flow.
It could be divided into vertical and horizontal arrangement. Francis turbine have the advantage of high efficiency, small size and reliable structure.
Horizontal Francis turbine unit, with horizontal shaft, could be 2 or three supports. Which is normally one stair arrangement. Simple structure, easier operation and maintainence.
Vertical Francis turbine unit, with vertical shaft, metal spiral case or concrete spiral case. With adjustable guide vane, and stay ring etc parts, are suit to runner diameter bigger than 1000mm. Our engineer will select the most suitable Francis turbine for your hydro power project.

Pelton Turbine
Pelton turbine suit to water head 100 to 1000 meters and with certain small flow. It could vertical and horizontal arrangement, nozzle numbers from one to six. Pelton turbine with feature of wide flow high efficiency region. It could start turbine with 10% of rated flow. Pelton turbine with one or two nozzles usually adopt horizontal arrangement, but multiple nozzle Pelton turbine adopts vertical arrangement. Pelton turbine units are wildly used in mountain area all over the world, and well known by its simple structure, less investment, high efficiency, and reliable long service life.
Pelton runnermanufacture workmanship has been improved sharply in recent years. The runner could be wholly casted or forged stainless steel and then be shaped and polished by digital control machine tool. Pelton runner has been manufactured by us all this high strength, higher efficiency, and longer service life. The factory tests including static and dynamic balance test, UT test, and dimension measurement.

Kaplan turbine
Kaplan turbine is a kind of turbine suit to low water head 3-45 meters, and with certain big flow, normally divided into fixed blades and adjustable blades turbine. Main components including: runner, draft cone, water chamber, guide vane, bearing, and main shaft. The spiral case could be steel or concrete. The runner diameter we can manufacture is from 80cm to 4meters, with rated output 50Kw to 20Mw.
Turbine units normally be vertical shaft arrangement. Generator equipped with same or different shaft, with Anyway, they will share the same rotating speed. If specially required, a speed increase gear could be equipped between turbine and generator in order to smaller the generator size.

Turgo Turbine
Turgo turbine is a type of Impulse turbine need less water head than Pelton turbine, transfers the water dynamic energy through the nozzle, impact on the Turgo runner, and then drive the generator transfer to electrical energy. The main different between Turgo turbine and Pelton turbine is the angle of runner center line and jet center line.Turgo turbine suit to 30-400meter water head, and water flow 30L /s -2000L/s, and output range from 10Kw to 3200Kw; runner diameter form 32cm to 80cm. Turgo turbine designed as horizontal simple structure, less investment, high efficiency, and reliable long service life.

Francis Turbine is widely used in hydropower plants with low, middle and high water head commonly ranging from 30m to 300m, The maximum water head can be 500m, The unit has advantages such as: compact structure and high efficiency.
The Pelton Turbine
Pelton turbine is one kind of impulse turbine, used for high-head(50m-1300m) power plants. Impulse turbine normally using a spray nozzle to contract the flow so as to ensure the discharge and the flow direction, therefore the turbine efficiency hardly is changed by the flow changes. Thus the impulse turbine is widely used of it’s stable efficiency.
The Turgo Turbine
Turgo turbine is one of impulse turbine, applicable water head 30 to 300 meter. The center of jet flow with runner gyration plane angled 22.5°. the water flow contracted by the spray nozzle , flows entering one side of runner and comes out from other side. The structure is simple and easily inspected and maintained
The Kaplon Turbine
Axial Flow Turbine is used in hydropower plants with low and middle water head commonly ranging from 3m to 30m. It can be divided into Propeller /Fix Blade Type (ZD) and Kaplan/ Movable Blade Type (ZZ), Propeller turbine is used in the power plant whose flow varies little. Kaplan turbine is used in the power plant with the flow varying much; its adjustable blades can change the angle automatically so that it can guarantee high efficient operation under different flow and load.
