Surfaces: both sides of WellYoung Mgo sheets are working surfaces. One side is mirror smooth on the one side (ideal for painting, wall papering or waterproofing systems); the other side has rugged, factory-made texture for better adhesion and is ideal for sticking stone or porcelain tiles.
Fire resistance:All products of WellYoung Mgo Board brand are referred to the “Nonflammable Materials” group and are classified with the highest Class A1 of fire resistance in compliance with BS EN 135011:2007+A1:2009 standard.
Resistance to moisture and frost: WellYoung Mgo Board demonstrate that the material is absolutely moisture resistant and does not change the shape and linear structure under various temperature regimes. The material possesses high resistance to impact of unfavorable and changing weather conditions and keeps its anticorrosion properties at temperature as low as -40°C. Panels can be applied on walls and ceilings in saunas and cooling chambers.
Strength: WellYoung Mgo Board products possess high antishock stability and improved strength. The tensile strength normal to the material plane is 1.63 N/mm2 according to BS EN 319 and 2.33 N/mm2 for WellYoung Mgo Board sheets with 12 mm thickness. The strength of bending, normal to the panel plane, according to BS EN 12467 for the same thickness is 55.0 kg/cm2.
Noise insulation: The material possesses excellent sound absorption qualities and ensures high sound insulation. A system of two 10 mm thick sheets and 100 mm thick rockwool provides sound absorption up to 46 dB that is one of the highest indicators within the class of material for dry construction. A 95 mm thick wall of magnesiumoxide panels and rockwool ensures the same sound absorption as that of a 150 mm thick brick wall.
Heat insulation: WellYoung Mgo Board products have one of the lowest heattransfer coefficient: λ=0,22 Wt/m.k, known in dry construction, provide high levels of heat insulation and heat regulation during the different seasons and contribute to lowering of heating bills.
Environmentally friendly: To produce WellYoung Mgo Board products we use natural minerals and vegetal fibers. The radioactivity indicator is ten times lower than the building material standards permitted in Europe. Tests by ITC reject contents of asbestos, formaldehyde and other harmful substances. The material is safe for people and Green Guard - USA allows it be used in kindergartens, schools, catering establishments and may be in touch with food stocks.
Resistance to chemicals: Resistance to chemicals: Magnesium oxide (MgO) is not affected by concentrations of acids, aqueous solutions, salts, etc. Caustic alkalis, kerosene, gasoline or mineral oils do not affect the magnesium oxide panels.
Anti insect and antifungal properties: Antiinsect and antifungal properties. In contrast to wooden and woodfiber materials, WELLYoung Mgo Board products do not retain and cannot be destroyed by insects, fungi or mildew, mold.
Light-weight structures: Structures made of WellYoung Mgo Board are by 30 to 60% lighter than similar plasterpanel, fiberpanel or cement fiber sheets. The Weight of a square meter of WellYoung Mgo Board sheets with various thickness are the following:

Convenience and ease of treatment: No special tools or accessories are needed. WellYoung Mgo Board panels are easy to cut; hold nails, screws and clamps well; The sheets are excellent to glue, paint and treat (panels can be cut like fiberpanel by a cardpanel knife). Panels can be installed both on metal bodies and wooden gratings. The two working surfaces of the panel (one smooth and one rugged) allow it be painted, plastered or coated with ceramics, etc. The sheets can be treated with common types of putty, acrylic grouts and adhesives, commonly used when working with plasterboard.
