Polyether polyols (polyethers) are synthesized by the addition of initiator (compounds containing active hydrogen groups) with ethylene oxide (EO), propylene oxide (PO), and butylene oxide (BO) in the presence of catalyst. The most productive polyether is glycerol (glycerol) as initiator and epoxide (PO and EO are usually used together). Various general polyether polyols are produced by changing the feeding mode of PO and EO (mixing or separate adding), the ratio of addition and the order of feeding.
