The thermal reticulation process alsoyields windowless reticulated polyurethane foam, but thermally reticulated foam features aflame-polished surface on its struts.The process can be performed on all three ploy-based polyurethane foams (Ether, Ester andPolymer Polyol). Thermally reticulated foam yields slightly lower pressure drop values for agiven airflow than chemically quenched foam.
