Product DescriptionK-24 / CRYSTALLINE WATERINSULATION MORTAR (20 kg)
Cement based, single-component, crystalline water insulation mortar that reacts to concrete to provide water impermeability and can be applied to both positive and negative water pressure.
Intended Uses:
• Foundations and basement walls,
• Interiors and exteriors for horizontal and vertical application,
• Water insulation of all old and new structurally both against negative and positive water pressure,
• Waterproofing of structures underground and above-ground,
• Can be used on water tanks, elevator shafts and swimming pools.
Properties:
• Provides water insulation by applying on negative or positive water pressure side to concrete surfaces and protects concrete from harmful effects of water.
• The mortar prepared by mixing only with water, reacts with free lime particles on applied concrete surface and generates a crystalline complex that penetrates into the structure of concrete and waterproofs it.
• When applied on fresh concrete surface, it slows down the hydration process and decreases the possibility of shrinkage cracks.
Surface Treatment:
• The surface must be clean and dry.
• The surface must be free from residues that will prevent adhesion.
• Cracks on surface must be repaired with REPAIR SW Waterproof structural repair mortar at least 24 hours prior to K-24 application.
• Vertical and horizontal angles must be chamfered with REPAIR SW Waterproof structural repair mortar to ensure continuity of impermeability.
• Any holes leaking water should be filled with STOPPER Active water sealant.
• Application surface must be saturated with water and must be moist during application. Watering process should be done 24 hours, and 2 hours before application. Pay attention not to leave any water accumulation on the surface.
