What is Panax notoginseng?
Panax notoginseng, also known as pseudoginseng. Chinese Name is SanQi or TianQi.
The roots of the Panax notoginseng plant have been used in Chinese medicine for centuries to stop bleeding and improve blood flow. It is mainly grown in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces of China. Panax notoginseng is also used to relieve pain; and to reduce swelling, cholesterol, and blood pressure. It is also used for chest pain (angina), strokes, dizziness, and sore throat.
