The low temperature thermoplastic hand splint used to fix the phalangeal fractures, hand orthopedics, ligament, tendon injuries.
How to use?
* Adjust the water temperature to 65℃-70℃/149-167F, no more than 80℃, the thermoplastic splint will be melted if more than 80℃. And don't put the splint in hot water for a long time. In general, 2-3 minutes should be enough to make it soften and activated.
* The available time for modeling the splint is 3 ‘30 ‘’(3 minutes and 30 seconds)
* The maximum tensile strength of orthopedic sheet is 1.5 times of its original size; And the maximum tensile strength is 6 times of its own. Excessive pulling could affect it's reshaped resilience and damage its memory function.
* How to restore a molding splint back to its origional settings? Just put it into the 65℃-75℃ water and then it will rebound automatically after about 5 minutes.
* Due to the characteristics of the material itself, in the activation process, it will occasionally occur small area of sticky. Please be sure not to pull randomly. When it leaves the water to solidify, it will automatically relieves adhesion.
* Use the velcro to tie the splint to be sure the better fixation.
