The Acupressure mat has existed in India for relaxation exercises, meditation and yoga for thousands of years. There are many factors that indicate the pain relief is due to the pressure from the Acupressure mat activating the body's own production of endorphins, "natural painkillers", which are also released during exercise. Endorphins give pain relief and a sense of physical well-being. Another substance which is probably also released is called oxytocin that produces relaxation. You wind down and find it easier to fall asleep.

Spike Mat contains a total of 8,820 points designed to stimulate acupuncture points, muscles and nerves. Each mat contains 210 flowers and each flower contains 42 spikes. Each mat is made of 100% cotton and foam core. No glue is used to make these.

Product Feature:
100% non-toxic, non-allergic ABS plastic button has 42 nails and on a standard mat 210 buttons are precisely arranged without the application of glue. In order to get a solid bonding of the spike buttons, which is a perennial problem with the glued spikes, a specially developed machine is employed to heat bond the buttons. No toxic glues and chemicals are used to glue plastic to the mat.
Fabric is colour fast and contains no banned substances such as AZO chemicals.
