Application
The rotary dryer is widely used for drying materials with humidity or granularity in the industries of mineral powder, building materials, metallurgy, chemical and so on. Such as sand, coal, sludge, coal slurry, brown coal, fly ash, gypsum, clay, kao, grain (corn, wheat), slag, iron powder, mill scale, sawdust, chicken manure, feed etc.
Components
Rotary dryer is mainly makes up of revolving body, lifting plate, driving device, supporting device, sealing ring and other components. So it has advantages of reasonable structure, perfect in workmanship, high yield, low energy consumption, convenient to operation and so on.
Working Principle
Wet materials are sent into hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator, then enter into the drum barrel. The gradient of loading chute must be bigger than the cylinder to make the materials move smoothly. The cylinder is installed at support device which angle of about 3-5. Materials move from upper end to lower end, while heating dedium moves from opposite or same direction. During this process, moisture inside the materials gets vaporized. The waste gas is released by the draft fan at the end of the drum. Some lifting boards are fixed on the inner wall of the cylinder. They elevate and scatter the materials repeatedly to accelerate the eficiency of drying. At last, the hot air is released into atmosphere through dust catcher.
