The practice of potting electronic components is designed to protect delicate circuitry. This protection may be required for mechanical shock, thermal shock, vibration, chemical attack, humidity, extreme temperatures and wide thermal cycles.
SAH-271 is a solventless, no odor, two-part silicone rubber, specially designed for electrical and electronic potting and encapsulating uses. It is suitable for batch processing or automated dispensing. With different colors for better distinction, SAH-271A and SAH-271B are blue and off-white, respectively. It can be cured in a 1:1 ratio by weight or volume either at room temperature or elevated temperature for faster processing. The cured mixture is a blue flexible elastomer. The elastomer has good thermal conductivity, electrical and waterproof properties, also with excellent weather resistance. Those properties are not significantly affected by the changes of temperature. It does not contain hazardous substances in the Candidate Lists of Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHs) or Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) for green environmental protection.
