Wire Flame SprayThe Combustion Wire Thermal Spray Process is basically the spraying of molten metal onto a surface to provide a coating. Material in wire form is melted in a flame (oxy-acetylene flame most common) and atomised using compressed air to form a fine spray. 14M Wire Flame Spray Gun
The 14M Flame Spray Gun is a lightweight wire spray gun that uses an air turbine to draw wire in, melt it with fuel gas and blast the molten particles on to the substrate. This gun is suitable for coating both high & low melting wires such as Aluminium, Babbitt, Molybdenum, Copper, Brass etc. Wires of sizes such as 1/8", 5/32" & 3/16" (3.17, 3.96, 4.76mm) can be sprayed easily. This versatile gun has a convenient wire feed thumb trigger making it an excellent choice for hand-held use. The metal Coat Flame Spray Gun 14M has a universal gas head, which can be adapted to use Oxy/Acetylene or Oxy/Propane fuel gas. The standard gun is set up to spray 1/8" wire using acetylene as the fuel gas. Suitable hardware is available for handling all standard wire sizes ranging from 3/16" down to 1/16". Although the 14M Flame Spray Gun has been designed primarily for hand-held operation, a simple, rugged tool post fixture is supplied with each unit to permit mounting on a machine tool such as a lathe. Powered by compressed air and Oxy/Acetylene or Oxy/Propane, the entire system (except the compressor), can be mounted on a cart for mobile applications and field repair work.

Extension Nozzles: Where deep bores or recesses are to be sprayed, a range of extension nozzles are available These allow access of the spray at depths up to 1.1 Mtr., whilst straight or deflector air caps can be selected to direct the spray stream to the area required. Typical use include spraying in internal diameter or hard to reach coating surfaces.Air Control Unit: Consists of air filter cum regulator for secondary filtration and regulating air flow to wire flame spray gun. An additional outlet provides connections for operator's helmet. The supplied system is subjected to warranty against manufacturing defects, faulty material and poor workmanship and which have been reported to metaL COAT, in writing of such defect. The warranty period is 12 months from the date of commissioning or 15 months from the date of supply whichever is earlier. The warranty does not include damages caused due to mishandling or improper/incomplete compliance of operating instructions recommended by us. Warranty is applicable to the extent of free of cost repair/replacement as deemed fit by us.
