These olives we harvest in the beggining and we make them cracked as they are, natural. Unique bitterness combined with freshness makes thse olives appealing to the ones you look for something more. By cracking them we let the brine cure them naturaly much faster.This is a round variety (not to be confused with the Halkidiki one), comes from areas such as Agrinion, Stylis, Amfissa, and from the same trees we get the blond and the black olives later on. We use the bigger sizes for cracking them for greater taste experience.

Gerentes Family olive trading tradition goes back five generations, when our grandfathers from a village near Amfissa – Fokis at central Greece, were among the first to trade olives outside Greece to other countries.

Hand picked olives were gathered and packed in bags with salt, starting their trip to reach commercial centers at that time outside Greece.

In a barter economy era where this trip needed six months at least and a lot of devotion introducing edible olives to people who never tasted them this way.


Today, the succeeding generations still continue with the same passion and enthusiasm to serve our clients around the world for their olive needs, respecting tradition and above all, paying attention to the quality of the olives we offer.Gerolive ProductsDid you know?

Distinction of Olives: We distinguish olives according to their color, shape, origin, size, and whether they are whole, pitted, stuffed, sliced or cracked. Olives are mainly of Black or Green color or a mixture of these two.

The Standardized sizing is showing how many fruits (olives) are there in one kilo, thus the abbreviation PPK (pieces per kilo). Also, bigger sizes i.e. 100 PPK yield higher prices than the smaller ones i.e. 200 Our Production
