Indications for use
The stent is indicated for palliative treatment for patients with bile duct stenosis caused by malignant bile duct carcinoma which cannot undergo surgeries.
It is also indicated for stenosis caused by benign tumor which cannot undergo surgeries or the patients are not willing to take surgeries.
Its main purpose is to alleviate bile duct obstruction.

Stent structure

Stent deployment procedure
a) Under the fluoroscopy guidance, position the delivery device exactly to the center of the target stricture or tumor.
b) Loosen the safety lock by turning it counterclockwise when the delivery device is correctly positioned at the stricture.
c) Immobilize the inner shaft by holding firmly the posterior handle in one hand, and gently pull the outer sheath backward. Do not push the inner shaft when you deploy the stent. The inner shaft should be held securely and not be allowed to move. Pushing the inner shaft will cause misalignment of the stent and possible damage to the bile duct.
d) Partly released stent could be withdrawn to the shaft. Pay attention to the repositioning markers on the delivery tubes.
d) After the stent is fully deployed, withdraw the delivery device and guide wire carefully.
e) Examine the stent fluoroscopically to confirm expansion.
